Progress on This Week's Recycling Incidents Was as Follows:

 

[Zigong Tongfarong New Materials' Annual 70,000 mt Lithium Resources Recycling Project Launched] Recently, Zigong Tongfarong New Materials Co., Ltd. commissioned Yunnan Chunrong Environmental Protection Technology Consulting Co., Ltd. to carry out the environmental impact assessment for the "70,000 mt/year Lithium Resources Recycling (Phase I) Project" and conducted its first public announcement in accordance with the "Measures for Public Participation in Environmental Impact Assessment." This newly built (relocated) 70,000 mt/year Lithium Resources Recycling (Phase I) Project is sited in the Chenguang Industrial Park, Fushun County, Zigong City, Sichuan Province. The total investment for Phase I reaches 110 million yuan, and the project is expected to construct production workshops and auxiliary facilities with a total floor area of 12,700 m². The core production processes will be equipped with one lithium carbonate production line and one lithium dihydrogen phosphate production line, forming clear capacity targets—upon completion, the project is expected to stably produce 5,000 mt of lithium carbonate and 10,000 mt of lithium dihydrogen phosphate annually, providing the market with high-quality key lithium-based materials.

 

[Leshan High-tech Zone's Annual 400,000 mt LFP Project Announced] Recently, Leshan Xinneng New Material Technology Co., Ltd. officially released the first environmental impact assessment announcement for the "Leshan Xinneng New Material Technology Co., Ltd. Annual 400,000 mt Cathode Material Project." The project covers a total area of approximately 308 mu, with a construction scale of an annual output of 400,000 mt of LFP cathode material, and involves building 12 new production lines. The project will be implemented in two phases: the first phase involves constructing Workshop A with an annual capacity of 200,000 mt, along with supporting public and auxiliary units for 200,000 mt, an office building, and a quality inspection and R&D building; the second phase involves constructing Workshop B with an annual capacity of 200,000 mt and its supporting public and auxiliary units.

 

 

[Shandong's 415 Million Yuan Scrap Lithium Battery Recycling and Comprehensive Utilization Project Launched] Recently, the Ecological Environment Bureau of Zaozhuang City, Shandong Province published an announcement regarding the acceptance of the environmental impact assessment documents for the "Tengzhou Sunwoda Renewable Resources Co., Ltd. Scrap Lithium Battery Recycling and Comprehensive Utilization Project." Upon completion, the project is expected to annually recycle and dispose of 10,000 mt of LFP battery packs, 10,000 mt of ternary battery packs, 10,100 mt of LFP battery cells, 2,800 mt of ternary battery cells, 4,000 mt of ternary cathode pole pieces, and 1,600 mt of ternary anode pole pieces.

 

[Qinghai's Annual 10,000 mt Lithium Carbonate Technological Transformation Project First Announced] Recently, the Mangya City government website released the "First Public Participation Announcement for the Environmental Impact Assessment of the Qinghai Jintai Lithium Industry Co., Ltd. Balun Mahai Mining Area 10,000 mt/year Lithium Carbonate Extraction Workshop Quality and Efficiency Improvement Technological Transformation Project." Information shows that Qinghai Jintai Lithium Industry Co., Ltd., established in 2016 and formerly known as Qinghai Kunhaiyuan Chemical Co., Ltd., now has total assets exceeding 3 billion yuan. It is a comprehensive enterprise integrating the separation and development, production, and sales of salt lake old brine, and has built a 10,000 mt/year lithium carbonate project.

 

[Jiangxi's 50,000 mt Annual Scrap Lithium Battery Comprehensive Utilization Project Launched] On December 10, the Ganzhou Municipal Administrative Approval Bureau officially issued a public notice, indicating its preliminary acceptance of the environmental impact assessment report for the "Jiangxi Youyuan New Material Co., Ltd. Annual 50,000 mt Scrap Lithium Battery Comprehensive Utilization Project." The public comment period for this environmental assessment runs from December 10 to December 23. According to the approval process, if the environmental assessment is approved after the public comment period, the project can proceed with construction. The planned capacity is 50,000 mt per year.

According to the latest data from the Passenger Car Association, in December 2025, producers with new energy wholesale sales exceeding 10,000 units accounted for 93% of the total wholesale sales of passenger NEVs that month. Based on preliminary January data, these producers achieved sales of 830,000 units in January. As most producers have already locked in their major sales figures, by applying the structural proportion from the previous month to the current month's data, the estimated wholesale sales of passenger NEVs nationwide in January were 900,000 units. According to comprehensive preliminary monthly association data: the estimated wholesale sales of NEVs by national passenger car producers in January 2026 were 900,000 units, up 1% YoY.
